Have you come across this cute little brand called Essence Cosmetics?!
Now here in Canada where I am you can find this brand in your local Shoppers Drugmart (& I believe in Ulta or CVS in the US). They don't carry a line that's as huge as some of the bigger names here like Cover Girl and Revlon but they do have a wide variety of products. They are very inexpensive & I think great for teenagers and younger tweens starting to play and experiment with makeup.
Every once in a while you can find a limited edition display in store, more recently I've seen a LE Justin Bieber display (check out my instagram for photos of that collection) but today I spotted a new Limited edition collection: Metal Glam!
What did I purchase...?
So from this collection which features a range of products priced at approximately $2-4CAD I purchased 3 of the 4 available nail polishes at $2.49 each
From left to right (no flash): Liquid Metal Effect in 'Petal to the Metal', 'Gold Digger' and lastly on the end (right) Gold Topper 'Steel-ing the Scene'
Petal to the Metal is my favourite of the bunch and is a lilac/silver colour that I really love and find unique.
Gold Digger is exactly that, a gold metallic colour that in my opinion even looks a little silvery in some lights.
Lastly there is Steel-ing the Scene a gold leaf nail polish that you can layer as many times as you like. I finished off with a clear top coat because I wanted it to feel and look a bit smoother!
I used 2 coats of all nail polishes swatched below and no top coats aside from the middle fingers. Overall I found them slightly streaky but beautiful regardless of that & at $2.50 a pop you cant beat that!
Will you be checking out anything from this collection? Let me know what you think in the comments below or on instagram!
Until next time everyone! Luck & love!
-Felicia
