CoverGirl Jumbo Gloss Balm

Hey everyone!

So, I've been seeing these CG jumbo gloss balms around drugstores and Walmart and really wanted to give one a try. I had a $2 off coupon and thought, why not!

The colour I purchased was Watermelon Twist (215). I really like berry tones but I wanted to try something a bit lighter and delicate, more natural looking.

Here's some photos of the packaging!
The packaging is pretty sleek and handles pretty well since it's retractable and crayon like (no sharpening!). Im definitely digging it. The colour of the lid is suppose to be what you get and I don't think it's all that far off really.

Next up is a look at the actual product itself. In this photo I twisted it so you could see a bit more of the colour you're getting.

Now! On to the swatches...!

Here's colour 215 Watermelon Twist on my lips.
Its a really pretty pink that's not over the top but is still a little natural pop of colour. These were both taken with flash (I'm not seeing much natural daylight and having opportunities to take photos of the colour these coming winter days!) But the colour is pretty true to what it is in person, although in person it may be a slightly more dark/natural lip tone. But for me as I said it's still pretty true to real life and looks like it does in the 2nd packaging photo in a sheer sort of way.

It's a lightweight balm and although it hasn't stayed on my lips very long during all my wears, it's still a nice balm to have. I will say that I like it more than the Maybelline Baby Lips. The colour pigmentation you get is similar IMO but I really dislike the taste of Baby Lips where as this, to me, has no taste, however the scent of the Baby Lips balms is way more pleasant.

The chances of me buying another is 50/50, I'd buy it more just to try out another colour and because the texture is nice but I'm not crazy about the staying power or the price.
